DINOSAURS IN GASTOWN
When Historical Xperiences wanted to go waaaay back in time and add an exhibit on dinosaurs, Infinity jumped at the chance to adapt another space into a walk-through, interactive dinosaur exhibition called Dinosaurs in Gastown.
The team drew on both its extensive documentary and live event experience to pull off this multi-media, international, educational project including overseeing the construction of life-sized T-Rex and Triceratops replicas by an artist in China. This fun exhibit echoed the original Storyeum show in that the audience was immersed in an atmosphere that was as much spectacle as it was factual. The realistic environment featured more than 100 prehistoric fossils and an unheard of 11 complete dinosaur skeletons all shipped from China. The experience was completed with educational video playing on big screens and a 10-minute actor-driven show that played 16 times per day culminating in the dramatic reveal of the enormous and roaring T-Rex.
